Camarones - Chubut - Argentina
XIII National Salmon Festival

During the first week of February, the district of Camarones, Chubut, will get ready to celebrate the National Salmon Festival. Unlike last year, no registration fees will be charged upon the owners of crafts or the anglers.

Junín de los Andes - Neuquén - Argentina
Camp Tender National Festival

During mid February, Junín de los Andes gets dressed up in its tradition costume to celebrate the Camp Tender National Festival. This popular celebration shows off riders' skills and an excellent artistic quality that turns this festival into the greatest celebration of Argentinian folklore in southern Neuquén. It began as a tribute to camp tenders and their rural tasks, with which they contribute significantly to the development of the area. During the four days of celebration, visitors from various sites in the province and the country may enjoy the singing and dancing performances featured by regional and local artists and witness a magnificent display of criollo skills.

San Martín de los Andes - Neuquén
LoiSuites Chapelco Golf & Resort Open Championship

During February, the second issue of the traditional LoiSuites Chapelco Golf & Resort Open Championship will take place at the Chapelco Golf & Resort. This tournament consists in playing 36 holes following the “medal play” full handicap modality with four categories for men and one for women. It will be held from February 24 thru 25. In turn, prizes will be presented at the Resort clubhouse once the tournament is over. Villa La Angostura - Neuquén
Provincial Garden Festival

During the first fortnight of February, Villa La Angostura is teeming with flowers to celebrate the Provincial Garden Festival. The dwellers of the village already show off with the decoration of their lawns a few days before the festival begins. As well, the event includes shows, with the presentation of well-known artists and other activities such as float parades with callers, stands with regional products and handicrafts, food court, free lectures, workshops and exhibitions.

Puerto Deseado – Santa Cruz
Shark Festival

Early in February, the district of Puerto Deseado is the seat of the Patagonian Contest of Shark Fishing. This event attracts anglers from various points in the country and abroad, and it has granted the city the title of "Southern Shark Capital". Organized by the Piedra Toba Fishing Club, this tournament is divided into two categories: coast and boat fishing, which are developed in various areas inside the ria. In addition to the contest, which promises important prizes, a festival with musical shows and the election of the shark king and queen are presented. The event is held in the Caleta Zar venue, inside Uruguay Bay, 25 km from the City of Puerto Deseado.

Lago Puelo - Chubut
Municipal Forest Festival

In Feburary, the Municipal Forest Festival is celebrated in Lago Puelo for two days. With sport activities organized both for sportsment and the family in general, activities include rodeo shows, axmen contests and artistic performances. Children can enjoy shows of clowns and ventriloquists, baloons, entertainment and songs. A parade of contestants for the election of the forest queen will also take place, as well as exhibitions of photographic material, workshops and regional products.
