The A.D.C. Lácar was founded in San Martín de los Andes in 1946. It is an institution devoted to sports, among which ski plays an important role.

The ski and snowboarding school has an average of 250 learners between 4 and 18 years old. The number of instructors and helpers for the School and Competition Teams ranges between 30 and 35.
The Junior School (Ski and snowboarding school for non-resident members) has been conceived for students between 4 and 15 years old.
They can become temporary members, for whom it is not compulsory to pay for membership during the entire year. The proceedings to become a member are quite simple.

The Club Competition Teams various categories, according to age, summon between 35 and 40 racers, who take part in local and national competitions with the aim of being selected to participate in international competitions, such as the World Cup and the Olympic Games.
The club is a member of the F.A.S.A. <k>Federación Argentina de Ski y Andinismo</k> (Argentinian Federation of Ski and Andinism).
On the other hand, the A.D.C. Lácar organizes entertainment events for the members of the competition teams from other countries, such as Spain , Italy , France and the United States.
urthermore, it has a stable technical team for the Timing and Organization of Races which works to meet international demands and organizes races for various companies and institutions.-
