    Horseback Riding and Fishing

    You may ride around many beautiful places if you hire horses, and a guide if you wish to do so. Innumerable trails traverse the forest and offer spectacular views of the lake and the volcanos.

You may go fishing in any mode you prefer in the river Gaviotas, or in Laguna Los Quetros, being these places internationally known for the quality of their captures.

    Walking

    There are also many alternatives for hiking enthusiasts. You can go walking with a guide along circuits of an overwhelming beauty, with nature always generous. You should not miss those trails crossing the Larch Forest, Cerro Los Arenales, a fantastic natural mirador from which you can appreciate several lakes, and lake Todos Los Santos, one of the most majestic ones in Andean geography.
    In Lake Llanquihue, you may go fishing in all its extension, in the sectors of Centinela, Puerto Fonck, Puerto Klocler and Las Cascadas.

    Hot Springs

    You can visit some natural hot springs on the shore of Lake Rupanco, over which volcanoes Puntiagudo and Osorno are reflected, or within mountains in Valle Callao, another spectacular option.

    Observation of Flora and Fauna

    Although hidden in the dense vegetation, an important number of birds and animals live in the forest, and discovering them only requires some patience.
    Just with a pair of binoculars and a little silence, you can observe the flora and fauna of the place. You will be able to watch mammals like pudus, pumas, foxes, otters, or at least their footprints or other traces.

Among fish, you will be able to observe Chilean trout, Rainbow trout and Brown trout.
Among birds, you will detect the presence of the Chucao, an eternal inhbitant of the underbrush, the heron expecting its prey from a tree over a river, the huala with its pitiful cry in the waters of the lake, and the fast flight of the small hummingbird or the parsimony of the loica, just to cite some of them.
