Situated 14.5 kilometers from the city, Cuevas Volcánicas Park contains many attractions that let visitors see the natural environment surrounding the Villarrica Volcano.
After having seen galleries and caves shaped by the various eruptions of this impetuous volcano in the past decades, the park invites visitors to tour around the forest and its leafy native flora through an interesting zip lining circuit. The idea is to observe the landscape without altering the environment and zip lining is an activity that faithfully complies with this concept.

The tour designed by French specialists is an amusing way to behold the entire ecological chain in the region, ranging from the changes generated by the passing of the lava up to the forest formations typical of this area.
Coihues, lengas, mañios, cinnamon trees, raulíes, ulmos, monkey-puzzle trees and tepas are some of the tree species growing in the park.
The itinerary through the canopies is divided into 10 cables whose length range between 57 and 180 meters. |

First of all, the guides present a brief explanatory talk about the right technique to practice zip lining at the same time that they provide adventurers with the equipment, which consists of a helmet, a harness and gloves. Afterwards, a short walk through the forest leads to the first platform. There starts the circuit that crosses the thick environment up to the ravine. The last cable lies at this point. It completes a 1,400-meter stretch and it closes the zip lining circuit with the vertigo it deserves. |
