You must leave from Caviahue or Copahue by car
and take Provincial Route Nº 27. In the crrossroad you must turn to
Cañadón del Trolope.
Araucarias stand out amid the red tones of the mountains.
You must drive on for some 15 km. along which you will see
several waterfalls as the prologue to the forecoming one.
The vision is spectacular. You must park your car and
get closer carefully. There are verandas. There is a wonderful scenario.
That is the biggest one, called Gigante, an impressing 60 m. waterfall
that bursts into vapor with a shocking sound
with a beautiful polichromy produced by the effects of the sun light
over the dew. |
From here you will see the Volcano
at the background, while the vegetation
covers the whole place.
The waters fall into a natural pool
with walls formed by basaltic columns
typical of the volcanic process that
formed the region.
