When you visit these caves, you should get informed in the Tourism office of the city of Sarmiento, since you will get into a private property, Estancia Los Manantiales, and it would be advisable to go with a guide, and carry lanterns and a helmet. |
After 45 km. to the west on a paved road, you will access to the area of the Estancia and walk 1500 m. through a valley and a canyon with waterfalls, climb the hillside and enter in a natural 400 m. tunnel with galleries and ramifications that lead to the entrails of the earth.
The trail to the caves and back takes approximately3 hours and a half.
