Old Government´s Bakery
                                                             Address: Alcorta 330

In 1906 Mr. Francisco Bocca, married to Ms. Enriqueta Speroni founded a bakery that was unique in its type at that time, a family business without employees.

The flour to make the bread and the wood for the oven were imported from Magallanes in Chile. Besides, black bush from the region was used to keep the fire burning, and Mr. Francisco made the bread that was later delivered on horseback and in big baskets, and later on in a cart.

Two of his eldest sons, whose names were Domingo and Lunes (Sunday and Monday), made the delivery.

The bakery closed at the beginning of the twenties, and Mr. Francisco died in 1947, leaving 11 children in this piece of land in Santa Cruz.
