This is a half a day outing if you do it on land. After 24 km. to Punta Quilla Port, you take the turning to Estancia Monte Entrance to get to the Magellan Penguins colony, with more than 20.000 individuals of this species. |

These birds arrive to the coast towards the end of August, their mating season.
There are also numerous aboriginal tools deposits, where it is possible to find arrow heads, spears, scrapers and bolas of a very high historical value. An interesting option it is to arrive at the penguins colony from the pier of the port. |
In order to get there you must travel 4 km. on foot alond sand and pebble beaches. The environment along this road is framed by high cliffs with abundant invertebrate sea fossils.
For the lovers of fishing, these coasts also offer the possibility to catch really important specimen, mainly sea bass
