    From the city of Viedma you can go on a diving outing, in an unusual place to practise this sport.
    You take National Route 3 to San Antonio Oeste, drive 75 km. and take a debris road on the left to Punta Mejillón, where there are good diving places opposite the cliffs of Golfo San Matías.
    In this sector there are beaches and slopes which allow the access to the sea with rafts and equipment.
    It is very useful to take a GPS, a satellite positional system, the technical equipment and an appropiate boat to be able to locate the wonders lying at the bottom of this almost unexplored sea.

    Once everything is ready, you must take your boat between Bahía Creek and Caleta de los Loros and then dive 20 m. deep.
    In this sector you can see several lineal shoals with big cavities where sea basses, cabrillas and sargos abund.
    Visibility is excellent on clear days, and you will be able to observe the rocks covered in mussels and an endless number of colorful fish shoals while you dive in this exclusive sector not altered by man.

    After this astonishing diving journey, you can enjoy the immensity of the landscape skirting the cliffs next to the sea on the way back to Viedma along a debris road to La Lobería.
