Climbing at Piedra Parada
From Esquel you must take route Nº 40 and drive 17 km., then take provincial route Nº 12, and after 65 km. of debris road is Gualjaina, a small village near Piedra Parada.
Climbing at Piedra Parada
In the area there are cave paintings, and rests of arrowheads and bones.
On the other side of the river you can see the "Big Canyon", and the "Vulture Trap", a 6 km. trail through a narrow ravine of 100 m. high walls.
The first route we recommend is called "Sueño Lento", a 240 m. climb.
The second route you can do is Big Bang, with 248 m. of a very exposed route.
If you are searching for more adrenalin, you may take the route called "A Long Way Home", for which you need more technical knowledge.

Any of these routes to the summit is a shocking experience you will never forget.
