Coast Road
After a winding coast road of 30 km. along national route 3 over natural balconies to the sea, you visit Tumba Roberto Sholl.
Leaving San Julián along Güemes street to the north, you join the old tracing of national route 3 to Punta Tomba, a small elevation where lie the
remains of Roberto Sholl, an official of the Beagle frigate, who fell ill and died in 1828 during the expedition of Fitz Roy.
In this place there are plaques in homage to his memory.
You can also visit Los Caracoles beach, a coast where there are a lot of sea shells .

15 km. from Puerto San Julián are Punta Caldera and Cabo Curioso, wide magnific beaches of clear waters visited by the people of Puerto San Julián during the summer. In this place there is a lighthouse and a colony of red legged cormorants. You can also watch some typical native animals and see fossils sticked to the cliffs. Next to the cliffs is La Lobería. Its main attraction is the Sea Wolves colony, and at the end of this walk you can fish in the last beach La Mina, that owes its
name to the presence of a coal mine that was exploited in that place, today out of use. The site is also good for nautic sports. You must always walk on top of the cliffs, where you have magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean.
