    From the city of Viedma you can access to the north margin of the river Negro, where the city of Carmen de Patagones is emplaced, and go on several short outings.

    Carmen de Patagones is the last city that you visit in the province of Buenos Aires. There you can walk around the streets and learn about the history of the conquest of Patagonia.
    To get to Carmen de Patagones you must cross the river Negro by means of boats that offer this rapid and efficient service.
    Once on firm land you can visit the Regional Museum Carmen de Patagones, where some precious testimonies of colonial life are kept. You will walk around the building and learn about the past times of glory and epopee that characterized this region of Argentina.
    Then you can visit the church of Carmen de Patagones, distant 300 meters from the museum. To get there you must climb a pronounced slope. Once in the centenary building you will appreciate the flags and medals that belonged to the Brazilian Empire and were conquered in the historical battle of 7th March 1828.

    From this place you can start visiting the different sectors of the city, contemplate old houses, the singular fort, and access to the caverns where the first inhabitants of the area lived.
    >n>A point that you should not miss is Cerro de la Caballada, from where you can contemplate the cities of Viedma and Carmen de Patagones joined by the plentiful river Negro.
    If you have some time, we recommend you leave the urban area and access to the orchards area somek ilometers away on the river Negro.
