Pedro Luro Park
Thirty-five kilometres south of Santa Rosa along National Route Nº 35 is Pedro Luro Park Reserve, an attraction for local and foreign visitors as well as for the resident community...
Situated in Quehuè valley, it presents three different environments: monte, lagoon and dunes, with a varied and very rich flora and fauna as well as many historical testimonies from the first decade of the XX century, when Pedro Olegario Luro decided to install the biggest hunting lot in the world between the wild forest and the classic "Chateaux" facing west.
The lot comprehend 7.600 enclosed hectares, 1200 of which correspond to the touristic area.
This National Historical Monument formed by the Castle with lagoons and sand dunes forested by caldenes will transport you to the time of the creation of Estancia San Huberto, with its collection of carriages and the imposing French building where you will experience those splendorous past times.

At dawn one can usually see herds of deer and American ostriches with their breedings going out for food. Different species of birds, flamingo colonies and traces of pumas and wild boars in the soft soil of the lagoon are some of the things you can find in this marvellous park.
During the rutting season, you can observe male deer fighting for the harem.
The Interpretation Centre of the Park gives information on possible hiking outings, photographic safaris, birds and animals watching, as well as video performances and environmental lectures on conservation.
You can also go on a guided visit to the Carriage Museum or to a small zoo where native mammals can be observed in detail.
