To carry out this unforgettable outing you must hire the services of a professional guide with international experience licensed by Prefectura Naval Argentina from Esquel or Trevelin.
From Esquel you will be transferred from your lodging place, take national route Nº 259 to Trevelin, leave the paved road and take a deviation through a debris road for the final 80 km.
You will pass by lake Rosario, where there is an aboriginal reservation, and then pass by Laguna El Tiobal, Cerro Centinela and rural school Nº 113 until Corcovado city, which has some 2000 inhabitants. |

There are signs indicating attractive destinies of the region, like Lake Guacho, Lake Falso Engaño and Lake Vintter, all ideal to fish salmon, mackerel, perch and trout.
In Corcovado beach you will be provided with all the necessary equipment to go rafting: a safety helmet, 3 mm. neoprene suit, a dry jacket and a life jacket, but you should carry a pair of spare shoes, a bathing suit, a towel, warm clothes, and all the enthusiasm to feel adrenaline running through your veins.
Before getting on the professional raft, with inflatable floor and self-reducing system, you will be given a technical talk on security by the guide, who will teach you how to row while immerse in rapids of difficulty II and III. The raft takes about an hour and a half in cold crystalline waters.
Now yes, you can feel the speed and see the magnific canyons on both sides of this winding river running to the Pacific ocean. |

The characteristics of Corcovado Alto make of this river a rafting top place in the lake region, an ideal place for voyagers without prior experience who dare live the adventure in all its intensity.
During the raft you will have to pay attention to the commanding voice of the guide who will indicate to you and the other six passengers the best places to surf the rapids. To get soaking wet is a part of this adventure. |
It is possible to see on the river litoral birds such as black-faced ibis, snipes, kelp geese and ducks. You may also come across a hare, a fox, or even a puma or a wild boar.
The rafting season starts in November, when the rivers are deeper and present more difficulties. In summer you can dive in deep pools or float with a life jacket in calm backwaters for more pleasant sensations. |
