Leaving from Neuquén to the south west through a picturesque road you can visit Paraje Las Perlas.
In this little village with 800 inhabitants which forms part of Cipolletti you can travel through a wild semi- desertic landscape.
You will be travelling through the coast front of the Limay river, where small alluvional valleys form spaces for recreation while on the main surface there are fruit trees plantations.

When you pass by the out-jutting rocks of "Las Coloradas" you can watch the native animals in the area, such as American ostriches, guanacos, maras and partridges.
In this sector the river Limay leans over the south coast and runs through a slide with eroded sand at the base and multi-colored rocks on the cliffs.

The cliff is crossed by winding canyons, and there are sporadic intense rains which leave different layers of the soil uncovered, like the famous "Tordillo" canyon, where there are some rock paintings made by aborigines.
