How to get there
The connection by land from the capital Santiago is possible until Osorno along Carretera Panamericana Ruta 5 Sur, then you must cross the Argentine territory to arrive at Punta Arenas and there take the transshipping to cross the Strait of Magellan.

By plane:

The access to the region by air is performed daily by LanChile, Ladeco and Avant Airlines. The flight takes 3 hours and a half.

By boat:

From Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales you may travel by boat during 5 days, with varying frequencies in the itinerary according to the weather conditions, with departures four times a month. From Puerto Natales you continue along route 9 to Punta Arenas and there cross in the transshipping to Puerto Porvenir.

Integración Austral

At 170 metres above sea level, this pass joins the nm este paso une la ciudad de Porvenir en Chile con la ciudad de Rio Gallegos distante 76 km del paso en la Argentina . A la frontera llegarás tomando la ruta que sale de Porvenir hacia el norte hasta Puerto Espora, en donde accederás al Ferry y una vez cruzada la Primera Angostura, seguirás 17 km hasta el cruce con la Ruta 255 tomando allí hacia el noreste 29 km hasta el puesto de Aduana y Gendarmeria. Luego de cruzar la frontera podrás seguir por la Ruta Nac.3, los 76 km que te separan de Rio Gallegos.

Paso San Sebastian

Tomando al sur por la ruta que bordea el Estrecho de Magallanes y luego la Bahia Inutil, llegarás tras 140 km al Paso San Sebastian, a 21 msnm que separa Chile de Argentina, continuando por la Ruta Nac.3 hasta Rio Grande, 103 km más.
