In 1996, they started its remodelling to convert it into an Art Museum while maintaining its original facade.
On October 23 by agreement Nº 206 of the Consejo Provincial de Educación it was officially created and on November 1 the same year the first local artists group exhibition was carried out and it was given the name of "Eduardo Minnicelli", an outstanding local artist.
This Art Museum was specifically created with teaching purposes, and is the first one in its discipline in the province of Santa Cruz. It aims at children as well as adolescents to get in touch with Art in the same natural way as any daily fact.
They have an annual exhibition programming for painting, sculpture, contests and shows in general. It also possesses a specialized library and a video projecting room. |
