Forestal Native Park

    The University of Chile, through the Faculty of Agrarian and Forestal Sciences, keeps this Forestal Native Park, also called Memories Forest, intended to preserve different species of trees and bushes originary of this region.

    This is one of the many attractions in Frutillar, where you will know the species that conform the native forest, most of which produce hard wood of excellent quality.

    You can also see here an exposition in the Reserva Experimental EDMUNO WINKLER, composed by 18 pannels containing information related to each species and indicating the botanical characteristics of each leaf, flower and fruit, as well as the anatomic characteristics of the wood, which can be appreciated in color photographs of the microscopic cuts and in the polished pieces of wood.

    This information is completed with samples of seeds, branches, and photographs indicating the characteristics of the species.
