Cochrane How to get there

From Puerto Montt to the south, the Carretera Austral, 1.100 km long, surprises for the infinity of pristine natural resources. It is a winding road special for those who enjoy adventure tours, which penetrates natural parks, and where hanging glaciers and giant nalcas, a typical kind of furn, surprise with their immensity. Leaving from the city of Cochrane to the north along route 7 and turning to the east in the first crossing, you get to Customs and Carabineros after 95 km. After you cross the pass and drive 90 km. more in Argentina, you take national route 40 that leads north to Perito Moreno, distant 118 km.
