Gobernador Gregores Museum Español
Gobernador Gregores Museum
This Museum takes the name of the Governor of the Province of Santa Cruz between 1932 and 1945. It was inaugurated on 1st October 1993 in the house where Lieutenant Juan Manuel Gregores lived.

This house belongs to the first dwelling group constituted by twenty houses to be used by the higher staff of the Government. The materials used for its construction were extracted from the region: the timber was brought from a sawmill in Punta Avellaneda in the area of Lake Argentino.

The Museum was declared a Provincial Monument and Historical Patrimony of the province of Santa Cruz by law Nº 2093. It has four rooms: the Governor´s office, a dining-room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The furniture exposed belongs to that period, and there are also pictures with photographs and written documents.
