El Mesón de la Patagonia
This is the only restaurant in San Martín de los Andes where you can taste delicious fresh seafood prepared by the hands of true specialists. The unbeatable quality of its products, the expertise of its cooks and the coherence of a sea cuisine justify the success obtained by this restaurant in the mountain village.
Juana and Raúl Duarte offer an intimate family environment which, in addition to their polite customized assistance, gives place to unforgettable experiences. Juana is in charge of supervising all the dishes before they leave the kitchen. Prawns fried with garlic, squids, squid rings and local trout and salmon are the most outstanding dishes served on these tables.
It is important to point out that at El Mesón de la Patagonia, the cooking times are respected as all the sauces are cooked as soon as customers make their order.
In this opportunity, we chose the Galician octopus, a real preamble for the palate after giving way to the exquisite paella teeming with the fruit offered by the sea. A distinctive regional liqueur and wine list accompany the delicious productions.

La Costa del Pueblo
The restaurant – coffee-shop La Costa del Pueblo offers its excellent gastronomy next to the best view of Lake Lácar and the lively presence of the Andes Mountain Range in the background.
Built in wood, it has a country style decoration and a cozy atmosphere. Its main hall offers a wide range of handmade dishes that satisfy the most demanding palates.
Open all day and assisted by its owners, La Costa del Pueblo does not hesitate to tempt its customers into tasting a delicious lunch or dinner, breakfast or tea, prepared with the dedication and attention only its cooks can provide.
Whoever approaches this table must not hesitate to order the regional snack, the trout in its various specialties, a juicy bife de chorizo and the dishes whose main ingredient is venison or boar. Important worldwide known wineries are the protagonists in the wine list.
For dessert, order a “chikimboy full '98”, best known as “I start on Monday”, and then tell me about it. |

Los Notros Restaurant
Daniel Caeiro and chef Yamil Masauer offer a new and revolutionary gastronomic proposal in the city. Under the premise of keeping balance between the art of good cuisine and its price/quality ratio, they provide an interesting menu with international dishes, high Patagonian cuisine and signature cuisine dishes, to satisfy the most demanding palates.
The paintings done by local artist Mario Erhart predominate in the decoration of the Los Notros restaurant. Pictures of Daniel Caeiro's friends, children and parents can be observed.
As an appetizer, we recommend the board of regional products made at the “resto's” own smokehouse. For the main course, do not miss the chance to eat venison with pine mushrooms, accompanied by a risotto with saffron, or pork in gherkin mustard, perfumed with rosemary and accompanied with pumpkin purée and roasted almonds with honey. A must!
At the time for dessert, a tiramisú with a variety of berries gets all the applause.
Now, if you cannot decide what to eat, just sit at the tables dressed in red and Yamil will come out of the kitchen and make you a few questions about your taste and he will surprise you with a delicious dish of his own creation. An excellent idea for hesitating customers.
Wines from the most important wineries in Argentina accompany this new gastronomic proposal in San Martín de los Andes.
