The Museum of Contemporary Art of Valdivia (MAC Valdivia), dependent on the Universidad Austral de Chile, is located in the ancient ruins of the former Anwandter brewery, on the banks of the Calle-Calle River on Teja Island. Founded in 1994 under the rectorship of Manfred Max-Neef and at the initiative of the Valdivian visual artist Hernán Miranda, the museum has become an icon of the industrial memory of German colonization and an archaeological vestige of Valdivia.

El edificio del Museo en si es muy interesante ya que esta construido sobre una vieja cervecería. aunque es rustico y parece que no estuviese terminado, la vista al rio es excelente! y la terraza...

se suponía que habría a las 10 de la mañana y estuve en la puerta hasta las 10:15 y nada... o sea cero puntualidad asi que mi opinión es por la puntualidad o por la atencion, pero el museo nunca pude
