Lago Hermoso Ski & Resort, the new winter destination just 25 minutes from San Martín de los Andes and 50 minutes from Villa La Angostura , offers experiences and activities for those new to skiing or snowboarding.

Lago Hermoso Ski & Resort is the new “boutique” ski resort in Patagonia. It is a project designed to offer an exclusive experience far from mass tourism, with a daily limit of up to 700-800 skiers, ensuring no waiting lines, personalized service, and comfortable spaces at lifts, the base, and restaurants.

Lago Hermoso offers different options and exclusive activities: you can start skiing, rent equipment at its Rental, take lessons, go snowmobiling to off-piste areas, and enjoy a freestyle park designed for beginners and intermediate levels.

In 2025, it will host 2 international ski races, bringing together top athletes competing for a spot in the MILANO CORTINA 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. It will also host the Junior INTERNATIONAL FREERIDE Tour, with both on-piste and off-piste areas becoming a stage for emerging global talent.

Currently, the mountain is in full development under its Masterplan, which includes a new chairlift in 2026 reaching the summit, and everything needed to disconnect with family, friends, or on a romantic getaway.

Useful Information

Distance: between 35 and 41 km, depending on the exact starting point in San Martín de los Andes .

Estimated time: around 45–50 minutes via Route 40 (Seven Lakes Route), fully paved up to the turnoff. After passing the center's signposted entrance, there are 300–800 m of gravel road to the parking area.

4x4 vehicles are not required; it is accessible with a standard car. Snow chains are mandatory.

Opening hours: from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Activities: Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, Nordic skiing, snowboarding, hiking, horseback riding, and snowmobile rides.
