Leaving San Carlos de Bariloche you take route 258 passing by Villa Mascardi and El Foyel, and after 120 km. of paved road in a beautiful scenery, you get to El Bolson.

From the south you get to El Bolsón , from Esquel along route 40 and then route 258 after 180 km .

Paso Rio Puelo

From the little village of Lago Puelo along the pebble route that leads to El Bolsón, you must travel along the northern margin of Lake Puelo to the west until the pass at a height of 203 metres above sea level. From there you get to Puelo through trails, tracks, rafts, and lake outings, and also visit Cochamó, Ensenada , Puerto Varas , or drive to Puerto Montt along route 5.
