Description: Only 3km away, lies the Punta Norte tourist reserve, the most important fauna observation point in Península Valdés. Acquired through public auction around 1907, it has been named after Ernestina Podestá, don Santiago Copello's wife. Since those days, the estancia has been devoted to Australian merino sheep breeding. Nowadays, the 4th. generation of the family welcomes guests who come to spot orcas, penguins, sea lions and elephant seals. The rooms are within a walking distance from the beach and, after sunset, the dining-room and the sitting-room shelter guests by the fire. The lighthouse is the main point for the development of various activities and to behold the relaxing loneliness of the Patagonian steppe.
