The Beaches

This corridor includes the South of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Western part of Río Negro and the Northwest of Chubut. Even if Las Grutas is one of the favorite beach resorts, its shores offer thousands of kilometers of beaches with template waters, which alternate clean sands, pebbles and steep cliffs.

Dunes, harbors, gulfs, gullies and calm coastal boulevard complete these matchless landscape of the Argentinian sea littoral, which offers the possibility of practicing countless activities and sports, such as hiking, 4x4 vehicle excursions, surfing, diving, windsurfing, jet-skiing, water skiing and fishing.

Small wild seaside villages or modern progressive cities provide amazing cultural and natural attractions.

From June to December, mainly from the cities of Puerto Madryn and Puerto Pirámides, you can observe the mating and birth of the Southern Right Whale – a fascinating show. The killer whales usually appear between February and May and the dolphins and bottle-nosed dolphins, during the entire year. Furthermore, many provincial reserves are in charge of protecting the penguins, elephant seals and sea lions colonies in the area, which can be visited by tourists.

As regards cultural activities, the main event is the Chubut Eisteddfod, annual meeting of Celt origin which summons musicians and poets who compete with their works and performances.
