En el pueblo de Caguach , y en la isla del mismo nombre, se encuentra esta capilla cuyos orígenes se remontan a 1778, cuando se comenzó a venerar el Jesús Nazareno , fabricado en España y llevado a la zona por el misionero franciscano Fray Hilario Martinez.
El 30 de agosto y el tercer domingo de enero se venera la figura del Santo patrono de la Capilla.
En 1919 fue destruida por un incendio, salvándose la imagen gracias a la comunidad que la rescató, y reconstruyéndose en 1925 por las mismas comunidades circundantes al lugar.

It hosts the most important religious festivity on the island: Jesús of Nazareth. Celebrations began for first time in 1778. Then five communities from differen islands adored with special devotion the image of Jesús of Nazareth, which had been made in Spain and taken to Caguach by the Franciscan missionary Hilario Martínez. Since then evry August o0 this important festivity is held. Since few years ago, this religous event has got a secon vesion each thied Sunday, all the year. In 1919, a big fire demage almost all the old church, though the community got the rescue Jesus's image. In 1925 the five comunities culminated the constuction of the present temple, this beging the third church built in Caguach.
