Three nights of free shows, fruit-growing contests, producers and artisans in February, in the Upper Río Negro Valley.
When the harvest is over, General Roca celebrates in style. The National Apple Festival marks the end of the harvest in the Upper Río Negro Valley: three nights of shows with national artists, contests linked to fruit growing, producers, artisans and food, with free admission. In 2026 more than 160,000 people came on the last night, according to the Municipality.

What to see and do
- Three stages: the «Carlos Soria» Main Stage, the «Nuestros Artistas» Regional Stage and the Production + Kids Stage, plus the Globa de Artistas Regionales, «the festival within the festival».
- The Blessing of the Fruits, which opens the festival.
- The Guess the Apple’s Weight contest: whoever comes closest to an apple’s exact weight wins a brand-new car.
- The Fruit Packers contest, with workers from the region’s packing sheds.
- The free Production Circuit for children: harvesting in a mini orchard, driving a mini tractor, packing in a mini packing shed and making apple juice.
- Producers’ and artisans’ fair, food and an amusement park.
- Sports: the Apple Cross Triathlon in the Paso Córdoba Protected Natural Area and the Manzana Skate Park, with BMX and skateboarding.

When and where
It takes place in February, Friday to Sunday, at the Municipal Fairgrounds (Cerro Tronador 260), next to route 22. In 2026 it ran on February 20, 21 and 22, with Neo Pistea, Ysy A, Emanero, Damas Gratis, Cazzu and Lali on the Main Stage. Admission is free; preferential access closer to the Main Stage is sold separately. Each year’s date and line-up are announced by the Municipality of General Roca.
The Municipality provides free parking and free buses to the grounds during the festival. Glass containers, aerosols, lighters and alcoholic drinks are not allowed, and neither are drones.

A weekend in the Upper Valley
General Roca is about 50 km from Neuquén on route 22, in the heart of the fruit-growing region. February is high summer: orchards, the Río Negro and the cliffs of Paso Córdoba round off the trip. See accommodation in General Roca.
